The Diploma

The Couples Counselling Diploma is our complete training in couples work. We first wrote it in 2018, and over a thousand counsellors have trained on it since. We've since rebuilt it from the ground up, because relationships have changed a great deal over those years, and we wanted training that reflects the full range of couples walking through your door today.

It comes in 3 parts. Part One is the theory, ten modules covering the therapeutic triangle, systemic and attachment perspectives, working with high-need situations, and the full range of relationship structures you'll actually meet. Part Two is the toolkit, twenty practical modules taking you through the interventions and frameworks, from communication and attachment through to affair recovery, neurodiversity, and supporting couples through separation. Part Three is the toolbox, more than a hundred professionally designed handouts, worksheets, assessments and treatment templates, ready to use with your very first couple.

30 modules in all, 50+ CPD hours, and lifetime access to everything for life. It's the training that turns a counsellor into a couples therapist, and it covers the things other courses tend to avoid, sexual difficulties, domestic abuse screening, addiction, affairs, and separating well.

The Series

Alongside the diploma sit the eight Couples Counsellor's Guides, each one built around a single presentation that couples bring to counselling again and again. Where the diploma gives you the broad foundation, the series takes you deep into the specific work: trauma and early attachment wounds, betrayal and affair recovery, sex and desire, neurodivergent couples, blended families, separation and co-parenting, cross-cultural relationships, and the money conflicts that sit underneath so much else.

Each guide works at two levels, the theory behind the presentation and the lived reality of it, so you can move past the surface conflict and see what's really happening underneath, the attachment patterns, the nervous system responses, the dynamics a couple carries into the room without quite knowing they're doing it. Eight courses, sixty-four CPD hours, each with threaded case studies and a full handout package.

The diploma gives you the confidence to sit with any couple who comes to you. The series gives you the depth for the presentations you'll meet most often.
