This Couples CPD Toolkit course has been designed by a trained and qualified Relate Relationship therapist. With well over a 1500 client hours and a wealth of life experience, as well as being a trained Mediator and Adult Educator, Esjai will run through the general aspects and tools to get you started with working with couples.
This course is jammed packed with videos (over 8hrs of video alone), it also has lots of exercises and handouts for you and your clients. Every module has printable slides for taking notes and a short end of module quiz.
The first intake to this course in June 2018 saw over 180 Counsellors learn the fundamentals of dealing with couples in the therapy room, gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence to work with couples. With the added bonus of a secret Facebook group for much sort after Peer Supervision, to help any professional transition to Relationship therapy and adding another target group to your practice.
You can claim a whopping 15 CPD hours for this course upon completion and you'll receive a certificate for your portfolio!

The Counselling Academy Director Esjai Mason.
Esjai is a Relate trained & Qualified Counsellor. She completed her 240hr voluntary work placement in East London & Kent. She has over 25 years in Counselling and the Voluntary Sector working with charities helping young vulnerable adults to Age concern. She is passionate about helping others heal their relationship wounds. She pulls in a vast array of theoretical modalities alongside years of Life Coaching and life experiences to work with her couple clients. She focuses on solution rather than problem based therapy, which works really well in triadic work. Esjai is also a qualified EMDR & Rewind therapist and works with PTSD & Complex PTSD.

Associate Counselling Academy Tutor Adam Digby
Adam is an experienced Systemic Family Practitioner and is trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy by members of Marsha Linehan’s US team. He has a special interest in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and being a Registered Clinical Specialist in Mental Health has worked in the industry for over eighteen years, with ten of these years focusing on providing both DBT and Systemic interventions with young people and adults. Adam is passionate about training and education holding Guest Lecturing Status with London South Bank Universities School of Health and Social Care. He currently actively provides both Systemic and DBT informed interventions in both the NHS and independent practice settings.

I have done several CPD’s online but they were very time consuming for me as they are a lot of reading. Being military trained, training was always done through practical application and learning, by being talked through the lessons with visuals, I find this the easiest and one of the best ways to learn. My compliments Sj, I feel this is certainly going to go far as a way of CPD’s of the future in comparison to many that just have material to read and then have questions to answer. Will certainly be coming back for more.

The course is available in full so you can complete it in one go or you can spread your learning out at your own pace.

Is this a 'Live' real time course?
No, all learning material is in way of Powerpoint presentation, video, handouts, quizzes etc so you can complete the course at your own pace.

Is there any support during and after the course?
YES!!! We have a dedicated Facebook group where I will be there to answer any questions and support you in transitioning to work with couples. This is an invaluable group. There is Peer Supervision and I offer a 1 to 1 one hour conference support call to support you with your first couple if you need it!

Do I get a certificate & how many hours CPD is it.
Yes, there is a Completion Certificate at the end of the course once you have completed 100% of it. This is a bumper course and you can claim CPD 12hrs.

How long will it take me to complete? How long do I have access to it?
You have access to the full course for life so it's entirely led by you. The course is the equivalent of a 3 full day CPD workshop if I was to teach it physically.

Is the CPD Accredited?
No - a CPD does not need to be accredited by anyone, it is continual professional development. Reading a book comes under CPD hrs for membership bodies and the certificate is ample proof of completion.
